Welcome to the Consultancy Register!

We hope the site will soon become the foremost directory for individual consultants and consulting firms across the US and UK. We want to offer a one-stop shop for businesses and clients looking for professional services, and a show site and directory for consulting firms and consultants to freely advertise their services - helping businesses find consultants!

I've worked for many large global companies over the last quarter of a century (sounds rather long put that way!), either establishing and leading purchasing functions or reviewing and advising as an individual consultant or interim.

I've waited for a good consultancy register website, but until now this hasn't appeared. As a buyer of consulting services I want to be able to search for specific skills by location to compile my shortlist for a role or project. Sure we know all the big firms, but often we want a fast, effective and more tailored offering that smaller firms can provide. As a consultant I want to have my skills and profile available for clients to see and contact me directly (not via a charged introduction service!). Unless my company name is included in a Google search, I'm lost among thousands of results.

So when I had a break between roles I set up the Consultancy Register (we also have ConsultingRegister.com and Consultants-Directory.net feeding into the site). I hasten to add that website coding was not my expertise, but I had a clear view of what the site needed to do for us consultants and clients, so with the help of two expert web designers the site was set up early 2010.

I'd urge consultancy firms to list their details on the site, it's free exposure and free advertising, so nothing to lose. I hope the site helps you whether you are an individual consultant, a consulting firm, or a business looking for consultancy support.
